Market Price: hilsa fish (Maniktala) (As per Live Tv coverage): higher than 1 Kg @ Rs 1200--1500 per Kg,
1 Kg or so Rs 1000 per Kg
Less than 1 Kg nearly 750 gm or so Rs 700 per Kg
I saw Live TV coverage in a News channel.
Today, I went to Babu/khokan's house in the evening. Dipak (Of Patna) & Tarun (Khokan's boro shyalak) have come. tarun was away at Balurghat (his sasurbari) . Dipak was there. He is suffering fm Glucoma as well as retina detachment problem. One of his eyes is badly damaged even after operation at AIMS, New Delhi; the other eye is ok, but not fully so.
He went to Coimbatore (Aravinda Acharyya Hospital)...a big hospital, Vellore, Sankar Netralaya (chennai).... everybody has given the same opinion that the damaged eye can not be repaired.
Now he has gone to Disha, Barrakpore & consulted Drr. Arnab Das who is also holding the same opinion ; he (Dr. Arnab Das) assured him that whatever percentage was okay in that damaged eye should not get damaged further and he has assured him of this..
Olympic (London) is going on. I wonder when India would get a Gold medal.
